New Zealand & The Pacific

New Zealand & The Pacific

The hundreds of islands dotted through the Pacific, might look like specks on a map (well except for New Zealand), but what special specks they are. Choosing one can be confusing as it’s easy to think they’re all the same palm fringed picture postcards. Not true. Each island offers travellers a unique cultural experience and variety of landscapes.

Often called ‘the most beautiful island’ in the world Bora Bora with its over-water resorts is a romantic choice in French Polynesia and you can also brush up your French in New Caledonia or Tahiti. Vanuatu still flies somewhat under the tourist radar and in Tonga you can swim with humpback whales in water so clear it looks invisible. Fiji is super family friendly and the underdeveloped Cook Islands, dotted with turquoise lagoons with New Zealand style hospitality, is laid back and has a fascinating history. The Solomon Islands attract surfers and divers and Papua New Guinea is unspoilt and wild.

In New Zealand you’ll find the whole world rolled into two stunning islands. From beaches, to mountains, fjords to lakes, everywhere you look is a picture postcard.
